Day 59

What is this??? Most people I know call it a flip-flop. However some people call them sandals, Aussies call them thongs, and Kiwis call them jandals. (Which to me actually makes the most sense, because it comes from meshing Japanese sandal together.)
However, the picture was taken because the colour of the sand here is quite unique!

Day 58

Grasshopper in wine glass. We ate outside yesterday, and while it was beautiful, we were plagued by insects! I tried both crocodile and kangaroo. Crocodile was ok, but I thought that the kangaroo was lovely.

Day 57

Day 51

Auckland by night.

Day 50

Horuru Falls, Bay of Islands.

Day 49

A Kauri tree. We were told that it is only 800 years old, and small in comparison to some that are 2000 years old!

Day 48

Whakarewareware Thermal Village

Day 47

Early morning lake, beside Marae, Rotorua.

Day 46

Koru - the Maori symbol of eternal life. Apparently at this stage, before it unfolds itself it is edible, but seeing as it looks like a monkey's tail, I wasn't convinced.

Day 35

Seeing as I missed indigo in the rainbow theme, I thought I would re visit.
The sky over Geelong this evening.

Day 34

Some of the "Twelve Apostles", Great Ocean Road, Victoria

Day 33

They may not look it, but these are real, live frogs! I thought they were so cute.
